Producer

Andrew Katz is a producer for Variety Worldwide and a creator of unforgettable experiences.

While earning his BFA in Film and Television Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Andrew began working as a casting associate for infamous theatre-nightclub THE BOX under the direction of owner-impresarios Simon Hammerstein, Richard Kimmel, and Randy Weiner. Andrew took over producing the show in 2011 and subsequently helped launch the brand’s second location in London, followed shortly thereafter by ventures in Las Vegas, Dubai (THE ACT) and Los Angeles (ESQUE). Andrew has also executed pop-up experiences and events under the umbrella of “The Box Presents’ in locales around the world including Shanghai, Ibiza, Monaco, Mykonos, and Singapore.

Andrew brings a vast knowledge of experiential producing to events and showcases internationally for such brands as LVMH, Sothebys, Perrier Jouet, The Grand Prix, and MSG Entertainment to name just a few. Andrew has also produced runs of several off-broadway productions including The Elephant Room and Clown Bar. As part of the Variety Worldwide team, Andrew has contributed to such projects as KAZINO, Queen of the Night, and EDEN, a collaboration between VWW and Celebrity Cruise Lines.

Andrew collaborated with Baz Luhrmann as an associate director and producer for a first-of-its-kind theatrical activation with luxury retailer, Barneys entitled BAZDAZZLED.

When he’s not scouring underground shows and the depths of YouTube for the world’s most unique talent, Andrew enjoys expanding his palate as an international foodie.
